Statement of William London, "testimony in the 1960's"
"History by Contract," O'Dwyer & Randolph, 1978, p. 52
William London, former Fairfield Selectman
"… remembered seeing the craft in the water shortly after the accident. Neither [Mrs. Mary Savage and William London] was personally acquainted with the other. Yet when each came upon the after-landing-scene of the damaged aircraft, in our photo collection, each offered an account identical to the other with regard to the location of the plane, approximate time of year as well as the year, and the type of craft."
