"I know nothing about the technical matters concerning airplanes, and I never knew Whitehead, nor anything at all about his aircraft," "All I did was watch him fly." [at] "Fairfield Beach" [the flight he saw was] "about a quarter of a mile" "Other flights were made that day," "some longer and some shorter."
"American Aircraft Modeler" magazine, Wm. J. O'Dwyer, November 1968, p. 53
I know nothing about the technical matters of airplanes. I do not understand why you would want to interview me. I think you are wasting much of your valuable time. Look, I never knew Whitehead personally or anything about his aircraft. All I did was watch him fly.
